The exhibition "Surrealism Now Lisbon 2013" which has been in CA Gallery of the Central Agricultural Credit in Lisbon will stay until the end of May, 31st 2013, because changes in the interest that it has been by the general public , who has enjoyed and been surprised by the quality of the works exhibited. The Art Gallery CA in downtown Lisbon, will host an Exhibition of ‘International Surrealism Now’ Lisbon, Portugal April 3rd 2013 From April 10th to May 6th the Art Gallery CA will host Santiago Ribeiro’s "Surrealism Now”. The project will be exhibiting select works of surrealists from twenty-seven countries in downtown Lisbon, Portugal. The opening is scheduled for 17.30 on April 10, 2013 Surrealism Now International Surrealism Now is a creation of the Portuguese surrealist painter: Santiago Ribeiro. Ribeiro is an artist devoted to the promotion of 21st century international surrealism. His project reunites both Portuguese and global artists through a series of exhibits. ‘International Surrealism Now’ began in 2010 in Coimbra, where Ribeiro prepared a major exhibition funded through the Bissaya Barreto Foundation. Due to the popularity and success of the first event the project has now travelled from Portugal to Paris where Ribeiro collaborated with the Art Gallery Portugal Present (GAPP) and artist Liba W Stambollion and was once again supported by the Bissaya Barreto Foundation. A Madrid collaboration was made with Yamal Din of the Fiarte Granada and also a Moscow some artists have presence in collaboration with Andrei Nekrasov. Ribeiro has also organized various shows in Portugal including a stellar show for the 50th anniversary of the Monografico museum in Conimbriga. (Portugal’s second most visited museum) In Portugal he collaborated with artist Victor Lages, who has developed the project “Utopia of Fantastic Art”, with the purpose of organizing this exhibition in the Lisbon region. The fruit of their efforts include the Cultural Center of Setubal , the Art Gallery CA in the heart of Lisbon and coming up in November the exhibit will go to Amadora in greater Lisbon. International Surrealism Now currently has artists from 27 countries: Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, Spreads, USA, Philippines, France, Holland, Indonesia, Japan, England, Iran, Iceland, Italy, Mexico , New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and Vietnam. It includes luminaries such as André Breton’s colleague, the surrealist sculptor Isabel Meyrelles. Also the Internationally known American artist Shahla Rosa, Russian artist Oleg Korolev and German visionary Martina Hoffmann. Also exhibiting are artists who head important artist groups such as: Otto Rapp: head of the Visionary Ning Community. Brigid Marlin: head of AOI, Yamal Din : head of Fiarte Shoji Tanaka head of Genso and IFAA.
